This blog has been running since Hello World was published in March 2004 and these days I find I'm not posting to it as frequently as before. It isn't closing down, but if you're interested in further exploring some of the topics here, you might like to follow Writing and the Digital Life too, which is more frequently updated. WDL is a collaborative transdisciplinary blog I set up in 2005 to explore the impact of digital technologies upon writing and lived experience. We talk about writing and reading in the context of 'new and old' media, transliteracy, craft, art, process and practice, social networks, cooperation and collaboration, narrative and memory, human computer interaction, imagination, nature, mind, body, and spirit.
If you're interested in studying these relationships, you might like to know more about DMU's new Online MA in Creative Writing and New Media designed for writers interested in exploring the potential of new technologies in their writing via a combination of online study with a week-long workshop in the UK.
